03Where our rates come from
We take rates, slabs and formulas from official sources such as national tax authorities, finance acts, labour laws, government gazettes, social security funds and utility regulators. Where an official document is not available online, we use reputable professional firms or national newspapers and say so on the page. Each tool and guide shows when its figures were last checked.
04Rules change
Budgets, finance acts and regulator decisions can change rates at any time, sometimes with immediate effect. There may be a delay between an official change and our update. Always check the date on the page and, for important decisions, the latest official notice.
05Land and unit conversions
Land units such as marla, kanal, bigha, kattha and ropani can vary by region, housing society or official record. Our converters use standard values and let you change them where local sizes differ. For buying, selling or legal documents, rely on the measurement stated in the official record.
